1. Good for the military. Bad for black people.
My own observations when I was in the Marine Corps. Was that blacks made excellent Marines. But it is bad that Bu$h will use them as cannon fodder for his war crime. This bogus war crime is the only thing that will keep the election close enough for the BFEE to steal and they know it. If the media was not a complete GOP prostitute. Joe and Jane six-pack would know it too. And no matter what color your skin is. No one group of people should have to be used in such a hideous way. By such a loathsome bunch of chicken hawks.

2. Can you provide a bit of substance in your post?
I do not want to log in an unknown-to-me website you provided a link to. Has this website accepted ads from the US military, directed at recruiting blacks? I have heard that hispanic radio/TV stations are carrying a lot of recruiting ads.

To me it's been clear since Vietnam that the military focuses its recruiting on young, economically disadvantaged minorities because they are easier to psychologically manipulate and motivate. That's fine in peacetime when there was an equitable quid-pro-quo, and enlistees were largely likely to survive their enlistment and end up with some valuable
training/job skill/experience in exchange for four years of low paid service to their country.
Now I think one of the most reprehensible jobs in the world is that of US Army recruiter - a lot of NCOs from economically disadvantaged backgrounds themselves, but fortunate enough to have risen in the ranks prior to Afghanistan/Iraq, luring members of their own socio-economic class to become cannon fodder to protect the interests of Big Oil and Big Military/Industrial complexes.
