Tom Ammiano Endorses Matt Gonzalez for Mayor

Endorsement from Key Mayoral Hopeful Adds to Gonzalez Momentum

(San Francisco) — Supervisor Tom Ammiano endorsed Matt Gonzalez for mayor of San Francisco in the December 9 runoff against Gavin Newsom. Ammiano represents another major Democratic endorsement for Gonzalez and the fifth member of the Board of Supervisors to endorse his campaign. Thus far, Newsom has only garnered two endorsements from board colleagues.

“I'm honored to have Tom Ammiano's endorsement,” stated Matt Gonzalez, President of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors. “Tom is a man of great integrity and a champion of important progressive causes.”

"I feel that that Matt Gonzalez is the best candidate to serve the needs of all San Franciscans,” stated Supervisor Tom Ammiano.

1. Angela Alioto endorsed Newsbomb
I think he'll win by 10 points or so. The high Green vote may push Newsbomb to the Left.
