Actor Edward Norton is on Chrrlie Rose tonight. Not plugging a movie, but to talk about citizen involvement.

Worth catching for you West Coasters.

It's a good show. He's a very thoughtful guy, and has a lot of insights about the need for us to get involved in projects and issues that can make a dif.

What type of a show is it? I like Norton.

Two things struck me about this Ed Norton appearance on CR. One was his forthright passion and involvement. And the other was a sadness that so many people who are just as bright, just as devoted, as honest but who didn't grow up trust fund babies and never have the chance to reward us with themselves. They're too strapped trying to put food on their family.

The Manhattan "high rise" project (was that it?) that he talked about- 1.5 miles of forgotten high level rail, a green space ribboning through the heart of industrial Manhattan is one of those hidden urban treaures you dream of. I hope they find a way to save it.

Ed Norton is one of the good guys.
