Dick Durbin is on CSpan now. He is not yelling or anything, but he is speaking from the heart and with reason.

2. Kennedy said what I was thinking...
Let them pass it...we'll just undo it after a Dem gets elected...

I keep wondering if some Dems voted for it just so the seniors will be outraged enough to vote against Bush...you think??

3. The problem with that theory:
Kind of hard to pin all the blame on Bush when THEY voted for it.

4. If they are doing that
they are putting their own politcal lives on the line. They will ceratinly be voted out of their state primaries (i.e. Feinstein, other Senators)

5. guess so...
But the fact that this doesn't kick in until 2006 reeks of political moves and the dems should have been jumping on it... Are they so afraid of how the Bushies will spin this around "not giving seniors drug coverage"???

8. Baucus let me down on 3 big issues in the past week.
'healthy forests', Medicare, and Energy. I've voted for him repeatedly and volunteered on two of his campaigns but no more. I just hope someone with some backbone mounts a primary challenge come the time. I have never been so angry at a Democrat representing me before.
