Releasing those photos was a stupid move
Instead of basking in the glory of their "victory" they've muddied the waters. The story has evolved from the killings to having to defend the choice to show graphic photos. Talk about muddying your message.

2. It was pure propaganda.

Rummy said he released them to prove it to the Iraqis... Well, why the hell did our sick ass media pick them up, flaunt them around... and follow it immediately with a Cheney speech.

Bullshit on Rumsfeld. The Iraqis want the Americans to drag the bodies through the streets now, to prove it (According to an article I saw on Yahoo News). Maybe they are luring the administration into being viewed as sick corpse desecraters.

6. Iraqis have no electricity, so no TV or internet...how are they
supposed to see the photos?...

these photos were bush* bragging...he looked like he was creaming in his pants at his "glorious" WH press briefing....

the photos are also BIG warnings to other muslim countries (at least those with functioning TVs and internets)...

3. There's hardly an irony.....
that these pics were released exactly a day before the 9/11 report came out. These guys don't miss a trick, do they?...Bush's self-serving strut aboard the USS Lincoln on May Day also comes to mind.

5. dead scum
Bush wins since these photos will probably become the pictures of the Iraq war.

Saddams sons were scum.

What about photos of innocent dead Iraqi children? No time for them since the world's attention is on these two pricks!

8. Three salient comments from WSWS article in "Editorials & Other":
1. On the plane of morality, there exist no fundamental differences between the personnel of the Hussein regime and the Bush administration.

2. The assault had the character of a gangland slaying, the vengeful wiping out of the cornered leadership of one gang by a more powerful and better-armed outfit. An unnamed senior US military official in Iraq spoke like a Mafia don, telling the UPI: “This is a very beneficial hit. They cannot feel anything other than doom, since if we can take down these guys, we can take down anybody.” (My emphasis)

3. The campaign of political assassinations in Iraq is a further demonstration of the criminalization of the American ruling elite.

http://www.wsws.org/articles/2003/jul2003/iraq-j24.shtml

In Iraq, we will pay, and pay, and pay. In blood. Ad infinitum. I think, too, that the crass publicity and capitalization of these political assassinations in Iraq will result in opportunistic, retributory terrorist attacks - perhaps in the form of political assassinations - in this country. It is just a matter of time. Verb Sap you stupid motherfuckers. "Live by the sword", "reap what you sow," and all that other stuff the Bible's Old Testament warns you about. Or do you think that doesn't apply to you?

10. It was a sign of desperation...
They know how damaging the 9/11 report will be tomorrow, once it has been digested. There will be more questions than answers. Unfortunately for them, the Saddam sons story will be gone with the wind as this story is just starting to grow legs...
