DAMNIT!!! We were suppose to go to Iraq to get Saddam, NOT HIS F'ING KIDS
Seriously, I have to rant about this. Killing his sons was NOT a US victory. I mean should we celebrate in the streets saying "YEAH, WE'VE KILLED THE DEMON SPAWN OF SADDAM AND THEIR SEEDS CAN'T BE PASSED ON TO FUTURE GENERATIONS" because um, folks

SADDAM IS STILL ALIVE AND OH, BTW, SO IS BIN LADEN

For the months that lead up to this illegal war in Iraq, not once did we discuss the importance of capturing the sons of Saddam.

This is total bull crap propaganda. Herr Goebbel would be proud!

1. Deflecting attention from Niger lies.
You gotta admit, it took Niger off the front page (at least for a day or two). The lying bastards!

For the Sons?

We should have never been in Iraq in the first place 'PARDNER'

13. There is no Gawd to bless America
Every bloody country in the world prays to their gods to bless them. I don't understand why all of these Divine blessings have failed to stop mankind's cruelty and savagery to fellow humans.

16. The God I worship says "thou shall not kill"
seems Bush overlooked that one when it comes to war.

Wars are not a Christian feature. It makes me weep when I read about the deaths that we are causing!

17. You're funny
I'll talk however I want, tex, to you or anyone else that cares to test me. Do you have a problem with streetwalkers? Oh, is it only ok for the big boys to talk like that? Silly me, I'm just a dumb woman who would'nt know better!

I actually have wonderful manners, and I use them when communicating with people who deserve nice treatment. Callin me honey may make you feel big, but the only people that call me honey are my family, and you ain't family to me.

12. 3 More U.S. Soldiers Killed in Iraq as Resistance Continues
Why ain't you over there helping out Pardner? Wouldn't be scared, now would you? Keep waving that flag from behind that keyboard. It shows how tough you are. Right? Don

http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=68&ncid=716&e=16&u=/nyt/20030724/ts_nyt/3moreussoldierskillediniraqasresistancecontinues

Iraqi insurgents killed three more American soldiers in an ambush in northern Iraq (news - web sites) today, the American military said, further dispelling hopes that the death of Saddam Hussein (news - web sites)'s two sons would weaken the guerrilla uprising.

Also today, an Arab television network broadcast a videotape in which a group loyal to Mr. Hussein vowed to avenge the killing of the sons, Uday and Qusay, according to news agency reports.

The three American soldiers who died today were members of the 101st Airborne Division, the same division that killed Uday and Qusay Hussein on Tuesday during a four-hour gun battle at a house in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul.

The Americans were traveling in a convoy toward Qayyarah, a city near Mosul, when they came under fire from small arms and rocket-propelled grenades, the United States Central Command said. No soldiers were reported wounded.

"Big beltbuckle ... small prick".

Obviously this wouldn't apply to Jim Hightower, or (metaphorically) to Molly Ivins either.

read all of the threads on this topic and you'll realize that Odai and Qusai were simply Saddam's children! Somewhat old and hairy children, but children nonetheless! :eyes:

35. No kidding! And this justified preemptive action - how?
I know the rationales changed every second, but the only one remotely close to the UN resolution (legal) or rational for preemption was : "OMG, they'll blow us up in 45 minutes!"

34. WRONG! We were supposed to go in Iraq to get the WMD
Stop Saddam from lobbing them at us or handing them over to his buddies at Al Quaeda. That's how I remember. The inspectors were taking too long finding them, so we shooed them out so we find them good and fast.
