The WHOLE Picture!
1. Showing these pictures means nothing, who ever these guys are. The Iraqis aren't gonna buy this garbage.

2. What difference do these pictures make, in the whole scheme of things?

3. The questions on the rationale given to invade Iraq are still out there and will be long after those pictures are buried in the archives.

4. The investigation on who leaked Wilson's wife's name and CIA connection will still go on.

5. The investigation on the niger uranium lie will still go on.

6. The British inquiry into the death of the British weapons inspector and, by extension, the intelligence Blair and Bush used, will still go on and will most likely be public and therefore televised.

7. US forces and Iraqi citizens will continue to die, long after these pictures are archived.

8. Afghanistan is still primarily under the control of the warlords.

9. The report on 9/11 failures will still be out front after these pictures are archived.

Feel free to add anything I have not (I am sure there is lots).

My main point is that this faux victory is just that, a desperate attempt to take the heat off the WH. My bet is that it doesn't!

1. They're making a mountain
out of a molehill and...

it's a bit ironic that the military is releasing photos. Don't they think we TRUST them?

Oh that's right, everyone knows the military are confirmed, established, unrepentant LIARS.

2. We can stop worrying about the details of the daily news cycle.
I agree, Spazito.

They can try to manipulate the news each day, but it will be like trying to control the tide with a bucket. The sober facts are coming out and building up.

The entire issue of the 911-Iraq-alQuaida NON-connection will be starting to build now. It will take a while, but it will happen, just as it is with WMD. The entire rationale for the war will then be under suspicion.

This is way beyond who wins the news battle each day. We can let that take care of itself. Every time they open their mouths they dig themselves in deeper. It's the things they don't see coming that end up killing them, and often they don't even see it when it happens.

We just need to keep the pressure on so that Congress, the candidates, and the media know that the American people are waking up and that we care.

We have a long-term goal, which is November, 2004. By that time nobody's going to remember which story led on which network on any given day in summer 2003.
