Will Bush try to go on a month long vacation while we're at war
and if so...

1. Will the press get on his ass about it and

2. if the press does their job, will the public care anyway.

1. Doesn't matter
His brain is always on vacation regardless of where his body is.

We are probably safer when he's out chopping wood....less likely to be doing stupid things to the country.

2. I think Bush going on a one month vacation every summer now
is the only way they can avoid the claims that he ran away in August 2001.

"Oh he's not a coward, it's just standard vacation procedure - See, he does it EVERY year"

So my bet is YES, he will go on yet another one month vacation.

4. Governor Bush has EARNED a vacation
after all, he already paid his dues to the good 'ol USA by serving in the Texas National Guard. And it must be traumatic having presided over the greatest security failure in the history of the country. And frankly, it must be exhausting having to listen to Dick Cheney explain why we need to have our troops killed on a daily basis so that we can pretend we are liberating Iraq, whilst we maintain a control on the oil flow. (Although we can't let it flow too freely or the price would go down and thus anger our Saudi friends.)

5. It's been announced he is spending August in Crawford
on vacation. Anyone for storming the WH and taking over in his absence? (Just kidding Mr. FBI man.)

9. Change the locks on all the doors as soon as he leaves D.C.
and move all his crap out into the front yard, right next to the "repossessed" sign. (I'm just kidding, too, nice FBI person! :hi: )

6. Oh, but it's not REALLY a vacation
They'll simply be moving the White House operations to the "ranch." He'll still be working every day. He'll still be making those phone calls and keeping his eye on things. No vacation here. Move along.

7. I hope he goes on vacation for a month
The less he tries to fix things the better.

8. I think this will piss off a lot of Americans
Many cannot afford to take them this year, or have cut them down drasticly. People are taking short trips close to home. They are worried that their jobs won't be there when they get back.

And bush is taking a month off? After all the time he already takes off? I hope the press will really pick up on this. Not holding my breath.
