Your question was a bit unclear.
I believe that many FTAA protesters are too disgusted with BOTH parties because of corporate control and influence.
Kucinich stood by them in Seattle so he is respected.
I think FTAA is criminal. Secretive corporate dealmaking will be given power over local and national governments to an unacceptable manner. It will permit the swarm of locusts to continue their march through Latin America, on their way to cheaper labor in the far east. It will reduce local self-sufficiencies such as small farms in poor countries by flooding the markets with Monsanto-patented Cargill-produced food from the U.S., dramatically increasing poverty and unemployment and resulting in mass migrations.
When I posted a poll here about how DUers viewed the "anti-globalization movement" (aka fair traders), the response was very positive -- 65% - 70% favorable, with 42% and 15% agreeing with a characterization of them as "Jedi knights" or "Shambala warriors".
But I would prefer much more discussion of the trade agreements, as well as serious efforts towards making the Dem party less corporate.
