2. It is an effective strategy
I mean look at it as if you didn't hate President Bush already--Saddam was a monster and we got rid of him. That's a compelling story, no matter how you look at it.

I'm not saying it's an unbeatable story--certainly there are lots of areas that we can fill in to weaken it--such as Bush's disdain for veterans, or his preveracations that got us into this war.
