6. I got some kind of

"We gotta up-grade you" stuff and then that box just sat there for 10 minutes.If it finished loading, WITHOUT MY PERMISSION, mind you, why didn't it click over to the program or say something.

I tuned OUT.

I also got the bit about having to download yet another ActiveX control to be able to run their hyped-up little "tuner". Said no thanks, and then went to KGO home page and followed the bread crumbs to the source:

Seems that when you access their stream, they then use your bandwidth to send the stream on to someone else down the line.

Maybe there's nothing wrong with that, but it gives me the creeps.

Why do they have to do junk like this? Whatever is wrong with good old mp3 streaming that you can get on just about any generic player?
