Europeans Target Texas Citrus Industry
Ouch! I bet the French are crying buckets of tears over this one. Are we about to see George Dubya Bush transform into a pretzel-eating surrender monkey?

I've long advocated foreign governments targeting Bush through economic sanctions, snotty websites and similar tactics. So I was delighted when I learned that the European trade war that's brewing will do just that.

And this is just the opening act, folks. Japan and China have tremendous edonomic clout - and China's is growing very rapidly. They could ruin us without firing a shot. With George Bush asleep at the wheel, who could blame them?

So stock up on orange juice before the price doubles, or find a substitute - perhaps some French wine and cheese?

Europeans might adopt an old cheerleading chant:

Texas grapefruit, Texas cactus,
We play this team just for practice!

1. Hmmm...going to be lots of cheap citrus this year...
Just when I have my satsuma tree giving off tons of fruit, it sounds like there is going to be cheap oranges and grapefruit in the stores all winter to get rid of the surplus. I already noticed that satsumas were being offered locally 5 for $1. Oh well, even if my tree does not save me any money, I can know for a fact that my fruit is all organic as I never use any sprays.

2. Target Texas' Funeral Industry!
P.S. Europeans should also target Texas' funeral industry, publicizing George Bush's Funeralgate scandal!

But how could they boycott or blacklist the funeral industry? They don't have to! All they have to do is TALK ABOUT IT. The EU-U.S. trade war will be front page news for months to come, and if a foreign leader wanted to joke, "We thought about sanctioning Texas' funeral industry, but George Bush's Funeralgate scandal was just too delicious to touch,"... well, let's just say the Republikaaners would be hopping mad.

And if foreign leaders think that's just too undignified, then private citizens could take the initiative. Imagine if the next protest of 250,000 people featured banners un-promoting Texas citrus and Funeralgate?

Who said politics can't be fun? :)

4. True, but
I'm more concerned with getting rid of Bush. We can worry about who his problems are blamed on later. And if Americans are really stupid enough to blame the Bush Holocaust on his successor, then screw'em - they deserve to be visited by trade wars, plagues and everything else Nature can throw against them.
