Per child tax credit checks going out soon
And I am not getting a check. I pay taxes (yes Mr. DeLay, INCOME taxes), but no check for me. Why? Because as of today I have made the lifestyle choice to not have children, evidently I am not viewed as an equal by the politicians--although I am every bit an equal once I go into the voting booth in November. There are also many millions of other child rearing families who will not be getting a check because they do not make enough money. They pay Social Security taxes that fund today's generation of wealthy senior citizens, and in my state, they pay confiscatorily high sales taxes, but no check for them. The politicians don't consider them to be equals either.

1. I'm childfree too. Which of course means I fluctuate between being a
pathetic loser and a selfish witch. But either way, I get to pay through the nose when it comes to taxes, because "all my money is for me". I guess my aging mother and mentally handicapped brother don't count, since I didn't birth them.

2. Would my son qualify?
He's married w/two kids. He's been on disability for the past two years - he has cancer but it's now in remission for the past 8 months. However, the massive doses of chemo have damaged his lungs. Now he's on steroids for that. My daughter-in-law works 2 jobs and pays taxes. Will they qualify for this?

4. It's just the repugs buying votes for * again.
Some will have little shrub orgasms when the checks arrive, but sooooo many will have nothing.

I'm so sick of this administration.
