How long till the Language Gestapo start forcing non-French Quebeckers...
To change their names...

Seriously, the videogame thing is pretty absurd.

Why should English videogames require French documentation? Next thing you now, a French insert translating all English newspapers and magasines will be required.

2. Is there a link to this topic you can provide?
"Language Gestapo?" Are they anything like the so-called "food police" the freepers are always belly-achin' about?

3. Aren't French and English both official languages in Canada?
Or has the law changed? :eyes:

4. lol...
Quebec has special police that go around to ensure that French is prominent on all store signs and stuff...It's really redundant...Why the Hell do places like Kirkland need French if everyone there speaks English?

There are certain things that need to be socialised, but commercial language choice is better determined by the free market...lol

Just picture what conservative in America want to do to Spanish, and you have a fair idea of what separashits are doing to languages like English and Cantonese.

Oh?

So you're a member of which party in Canada?

Can you point me to a non-right wing site dealing with this issue? "Language Gestapo" is slightly inflammatory, don't you think? How many people in Canada have been summarily executed or sent off to death camps for "language violations?"

6. You're the best defenders of our French language,
The English words are invading our daily language. Little and little we are colonized, and you're the last wall of the French language integrity. Stand up strong against this invading tide, I'm afraid the struggle is over for us now.

But perhaps the future world language is English, and in this case.... Your fight and ours is lost right now.
