1. It took me a minute to get that one....
that is funny. But then, it is sad, isn't it? Those poor people there...their lives must have been better under Saddam. At least they knew what to expect. And our soldiers...my heart just bleeds for them. I remember guys from high school who went to Vietnam...they came back forever changed. And one came back in a box. And somehow, this seems so much worse than Vietnam. Having lived through that time, this just seems like a bigger mess. The media were not cheerleaders, then, even before Uncle Walter turned against the war. And we didn't go there to get their oil. And President Johnson didn't say stupid things, like "Bring em on." It is just all so depressing.
