The US is in a quandry over proving Saddams sons are dead

If they really are dead most of the world will not believe it until they see photos of the bodies. If they do show photos there will soon be photos of dead US soldiers splashed everywhere. That is a hell of a problem that the idiots running this show did not think about before this all began. One of many.

I can make you a photo that shows them dead, wearing pink tutus, with Saddam weeping over their bodies. That would prove just as much as the BFEE's photos would prove. Nothing.

7. I have to agree

Why would the resistance force just give up because the sons were dead? The were definitely scumbags and I am certain that many even in Iraq are happy that they are dead, but why would the "resistance fighters" stop fighting? Would you stop if your leaders were dead and you were fighting an occupying force? I don't think so--at least not in this type of fighting.

Now, I did hear that they may have been helping fund the attacks in some way?? Ok, I have no idea how money would help them other than to buy weapons maybe, but i am certain there are sympathizers who would provide weapons free of charge.

if they're dead or not (which I don't think they are). Dubya wanted to be able to say something was being achieved in order to "justify" all the American deaths over there. Also they trumpeted We "got" Uday and Qusay and then slipped the fact that they lied about Niger in there. None of this shit is going to end until Dubyas gone.

Personally I don't think the quandry is prooving the sonsare dead, it's proving that we have any right in international law and example in historic war precident to act as if the US military were mafia hit men.

The world still largely sees us as the agressor. And that we are unable/unwilling to capture these people alive (for information on WMD, perhaps) we further the image of bully.

We ae more unpopular in the world than Saddam is.

Assuming we care about the rest of the world and at some point want to deal with them as respectful equals, is this a success?

on NPR this am. Evidently, the US has flown the remains out of Baghdad aiport. WTF? Why do they need to do that? Perhaps for ID purposes? Maybe they will lay them in state for a staged viewing of a parade of gullible (and strong stomached) press?
