WTF? American flags on Russian-made Chopper in Liberia?

Why was the pResidential-colored helicopter used to land American "assesment team" in Liberia today(yesterday), a Russian-made MI-8 HIP troop transport?

Where did that helicopter actually come from? I've never head of the Navy or Marines flying MI-8s...

...and nearly fell off my chair. Amazing. Will watch for responses.

BTW, there are a ton of MI-8s flying but unless maintained well I'd be a little nervous.

Will try to look harder at the flag on the fuselage. CNN keeps showing the landing...

on edit: I'd need a HIGH DEFINITION BIG SCREEN (hint hint) to be able to pick out that flag from the CNN commercial.
