1. Ok. Here's the problem.
Either he's saying it doesn't matter if we find 'em, or he's saying that they don't matter now that we're 'in control.'

The first alternative is a joke--we all know the answer to that one. The problem with the second is, if he's so all-fired sure that they had them, and we don't know where they are, then how do we know they aren't being sold to terrorists right now?

Can you fear me now? Good.

3. And the underlying statement from him is:
yeah, I said it...what are you going to do about it?

I kid you not...these people KNOW that they own and control
the country.

5. perle says
"We don't know where to look for them and we never did know where to look for them."

Richard Perle, July 22, 2003

He added that he hoped they would find WMD in less than 200 years.

6. We'll find 'em if we have to suck every drop of oil out of that country
You hear me?

If they're really SOMEWHERE, then it should be an endless frantic search to find them before anyone "bad" does.

Hahahahahahahaha.

They don't exist and they know it. Never did. Got flushed years ago, and even though we keep getting told that they're "unaccounted for", it's silly.

7. come on, guys ... let's not twist this little thing too much ...
I read Wolfiwitcz's entire quotation and that was pulled out of context. He had just spent 5 days in Iraq and "not caring about WMDs" came up when he was discussing how substantively AWFUL things are in Iraq right now.

And, as an aside, we are about to have a SEVERE humanitarian fuck up in this as well. They are not getting the infrastructure back together in anywhere the speed required. Lights, water, food, an economy, order ... those really are the first priority. I had no problem with him saying what he said although my first blush reaction was anger until I read the article.
