BBV: Washington State DU'ers...please check in.
Edited on Mon Nov-03-03 01:15 PM by God_bush_n_cheney
I was busy over the weekend at 3 speaking engagements. Almost every person is aware of the BBV issue and are afraid. I am not going to have any problem garnering support for my campaign. But I need your help as well. If you live in Washington State please let me know what county you are in...and if your willing to help.

Lets send Sam Reed and his vote stealing machines packing.

Andy

If you are no one is going to take you seriously.

6. why do you think he'd act like a lunatic on the issue?
BBV is bad for voting PERIOD. Leaves no trail. Results can be easily tampered with.

Actually, on second thought, EVERYONE should act like a lunatic on this issue. It's bad for voting. It's bad for you and bad for me and bad for ANYONE who gets out there to vote.

You trip me out sometimes....

8. No
But that very public flame war that took place a few weeks ago damaged the credibility of the issue.

13. Whatever
You are systematically, through your behavior, undermining your credibility.

By the way, if Patty Murray loses next year, are you going to claim "BBV cost her the election"?

Tommorrow, when Ben Chandler most likely will lose to Fletcher, will you scream "BBV cost him the election?"

What about MS?

You are so predictable.

And the cheers and applause that I got yesterday seem to tell a different story than you do. Oh and the mention of Bev Harris' name...garnered hugs and support of my campaing with COLD HARD CASH.

Stick that in your pipe and smoke it mmmmkay...

27. damaged credibility with WHO?
With DU'ers---give me a break--DU is comprised of a very small amount of people (no offense to DU in any way).

The "flame war" didn't appear on National Television, Didn't appear on CNN....

The only people who know about the Flame War are people on DU, and for the most part, people have forgotten about it, or just don't care either way.

Flame war or not, The issue of electronic voting is of MAJOR importance--regardless of your political affiliation.

There have been flame wars on Abortion, Affirmative Action, Race Relations,, Death Penalty, Taxes---do all of those issues have 'damaged credibility" as well?

Let me guess---we should all just sit down and be quiet and let republicans tell us which issues we should be worried about and only worry about things that Mr. And Mrs. I've Never Voted would be concerned about?

Fuck that. This is a MAJOR issue, and I'm sorry that you can't see the forrest for the trees with regards to this very very important election deal

40. Whatcom
Woofless- Whatcom is one of the punch card counties. Suffice it to say that a number of people want to be on the committee that makes the voting machine decisions!

Right now the only touch screens are in Snohomish County with Sequoia. We've got a Democrat auditor there who PR's them for Sam Reed. (Go figure)

Reed does not want paper and what he really wants is Internet voting. Look for him to push that as an alternative to the mail in ballots that are gaining in popularity in Washington State.

Of course, the former Secretary of State, Ralph Munro, is on the BOD of VoteHere, who hawks Internet voting.

Coincidence? Nah....what am I thinking.....

26. Scarce resources of time and money in the short term.....
But, I do live in King County (Seattle), and I may be able to provide more support as the campaign progresses.

Best of luck. I agree that Sam Reed and his vote fraud machines must go. When I attended the HAVA meeting in Olympia last summer, the disapproval of the new voting machines and the concerns about all computerized voting systems seemed to be nearly unanimous amongst the ordinary citizens present.

As you may know by now, Bev Harris is going to be on a panel discussion on the Mike Webb show on KIRO 710 AM on tomorrow's election night discussion, 10:00 PM to 1:00 AM.

BIG article on the problems with BBV. Subject also was all over NPR today with a special report that pre-empted Fresh Air in Chicago; also was featured on All Things Considered.
