MSNBC Watchers - Why do you watch?
There is so much talk about Michael Weiner/Savage's departure from BSGOP, and how horrible his show was.

His show was apparently one of the worst in the ratings, though BSGOP gets terrible ratings overall.

His schtick is disgusting, and his show is seen by so few that it isn't the least bit influential... So why do democrats watch BSGOP?

I stopped watching them when they fired Donahue, host of their highest-rated show (I wasn't crazy about the show, but it irked me that they fired him and went Nazi.

I occasionally peek at O'Really or "Hannity & Inflatable Sex Doll", but I can't stand more than a few minutes of that idiocy at Faux.

Why do you torture yourselves with this junk?

CNN is annoying enough for me. I prefer c-span & news on the net.

Dear BSGOP..

Thanks ever so much for FINALLY getting rid of that racist p.o.s. "Savage WeinerMan".. One question... Why on earth did you ever HIRE that cretin??? I am sure that you received many letters/e-mails when it was annoounced that you were going to hire him. I sent you one, warning you about what kind of person he was.. Apparently your next "hire" should be a researcher. You "let go" the only reputable personality that you had, after tying his hand and practically gagging him..(Phil Donahue).. Your phantom researcher could have noticed that Phil's show BEAT the rest of the drivel that passes for "infonewsment"..

Now your next assignment:

Fire that "pig-eyed", smarmy "formercongressmanwho'sbestfriendsaredemocrats" Joe Scarborough. You guys may not care that he resigned in a very "suspicious manner" following the "natural causes" death of a pretty young aide..IN HIS OFFICES, but some of us regarded it, and still do, as strangely "Condit-esque", yet the media (yours included), chose to totally didmiss this issue, while routinely harranguing Condit.

Instead of chasing Faux into the sewer, why not try a radical approach? Become a real news venue??.. Here are a few suggestions, if and when you ever get a researcher..

1. If we "won" the war, why are so many of our soldiers being killed daily?? You might actually want to challenge the administration on their antagonistic rhetoric and , oh yes, OUTRIGHT LIES..

2. Instead of jumping on the "Dump Davis" bandwagon, how about some reporting about the administration-orchestrated "energy scam" that they and their Texas buddies pulled on California??

3. Anyone remember Osama?? Apparently the White House has forgotten.. There was a lot of bluster and bravado about how we were "gonna smoke'em out, round 'em up, hunt 'em down"..

4. How about a story about the fact that the administration is stealing all the money from the treasury under the guise of "fighting the war" and yet the money is being funnelled through companies that do(did) business with the Bush family and all his little pals?

5. Take any paper and change the name "Bush" to Clinton, and ask yourselves how you would cover that particular issue.. You know, a reality check..

6. Have the Karl Rove "hotline" disconnected and start acting with a little integrity, and you might find you would outdo Faux in the ratings. In the race to "out-Faux" them, you will lose every time.. Why settle for second best propaganda, when you can just flip to Faux and get the propaganda, all dressed up in short skirts, fake boobs, face lifts, and the lip gloss (by the vat-full)..

7. Has anyone at BSGOP ever heard about Google?? you might want to fire it up someday.. There are actual news stories there that are truthful.. No need to make stuff up, when you can find all kinds of real news at Google..Try it sometime.

I watch to see who is sponsoring them so I don't accidentally buy their products. and I also like countdown because Keith bags on faux news all the time.

8. Keith Olbermann
I don't consider his program real news, but he has made me laugh for years. I don't know his political affiliation for sure, but most do consider him a "reckless liberal." :)

9. Buch & Press
and C-Span, that's about it, I stopped watching political shows quite a while ago, I was way too angry. The rest of the time it's on Comedy Central, the only station that isn't completely stupid. Comedy Central, intelligent TV. :eyes: That's how bad it is out there.

15. Press and Buchanan won't be around much longer
They've cut them down from two hours to one now. P and B is one of the few shows I still watch, and I'll be sad to see it go.

17. hope not
I love Buch & Press. Although I agree with Buch on hardly anything, he's one of my favorite conservative commentators since he's actually familiar with the word civil.

10. Reason We Know About Savage
is through the stuff we've read on Internet - the letters sent to advertisers had quotes from the human garbage man, provided by sites who encouraged the letter campaign. No need to watch the vile Savage.

I don't watch MSNBC - gladly boycott it.

11. DU reminds me of a cult sometimes...
Saying we must all avoid CNN and MSNBC. The only problem with MSNBC is repetition of news. I've never felt MSNBC news is a Bush apologist or anything like that.

12. MSNBC
I actually flip over to it now and then while CNN is showing stuff I don't wanna watch, and a couple years ago it was fine. I don't know what they're trying to prove by hiring all these oddball hosts over and over. I don't mind watching Hardball or Buchanan & Press though, or when they're just reading news. I didn't like Donahue's show, Alan Keyes was a flop, Joe Scarborough is atrocious, and next in the queue is apparently Jesse Ventura. Ugh. Their election 2000 coverage was pretty good when they had Lester Holt as their lead guy.

14. My reasons for not liking it:
they skip too much real news. I know people here get upset at the hosts. Hell I do too, especially during the invasion coverage it was disgusting. but my MAIN issue is the quality of the news.

I know they have 24 hours to cover. So why repeat Laci Peterson stories over and over again. That ISN'T NEWS. Cover some NEWS PLEASE. I listen to public radio. They are busy discussing real issues like ADULTS. Not some stupid MTV top 10 drivel, like I've seen on MSNBC.

16. I agree
I don't watch it. It is torture watching the propaganda and drivel of the day posturing as news. I confess to watching during the war where my interest got the better of me. After the war, went back to my self imposed boycot.

I do watch Cspan however if the speaker interests me.
