Poll question: If there' s a draft would you fight in George W. Bush's army?
The question is getting more and more realistic...

1. If the draft is re-instituted, we really seriously need to think about
violent overthrow of the US government.

2. Didn't fight for Johnson or Nixon
Wouldn't fight for this asshole either. Might be willing to die fighting Bush though.

3. Luckily for me...
as a soon to be retired disabled veteran over 40 years of age, my draft number should be extremely low...

4. Hell no
If we are actually invaded or in an actual war (one in which the commander in chief doesn't think a month of vacation plus a trip to Camp David each weekend for the first few weeks would be inappropriate) then I might conisder enlisting (although I doubt I would be accepted, because of epilepsy).

But will I go to Iraq just so I can be a meat shield for Bush and his $$$$?

Fuck no. Fuck him, fuck Cheney, fuck the Republicans.

I will not even entertain the idea of serving until I see every god damned cowardly piece of shit asshole who is male, between 18 and 28, and who goes to "support the troops" rallies or who supports this war is over there.

9. I'll do my part...
by keeping the home fires burning and breeding future soldiers for the Homeland.

Buxom Bavarian woman, Party Comrade, deep-chested blonde Nordic appearance, 25 years of age, 1.75 m tall, of obvious inherited health, actively interested in political and cultural affairs, wants to meet congenial man for the purpose of mutual procreation.

Alas, I am not Nordic, but at least I'm not a Slav.

12. In my case, it wouldn't apply...
I'm a 60 year old disabled woman. I do, however, have a grandson who is going to be 17 in Dec., and a sort of step-grandson (if my daughter ever marries her boyfriend) who is 18. I would do pretty much anything in my power to keep either of them from being drafted and having to serve in one of the chicken-hawk wars. If Bush, Wolfowitz, and the others are so avid for combat, let them arm themselves and go.

They didn't do it when they had a chance, it infuriates me that they are so casual about sending our soldiers to die and be maimed to further their interests now.

13. Hell no!
I spent 22 years in the USAF (1970 - 1992) and I would resign my commission before serving for this man. He has violated every rule of leadership 101. Period.

15. I won't serve in Bush's "Home Guard"..
Yeah, there's a lot of us sitting here thinking "Thank Random Chance I'm too old to be drafted", but don't forget-when the cheese got binding and the allies crossed into the Rhineland, Hitler pressed old codgers in their 70's into service with a Panzerfaust in their shakey old hands....

Now, how to help young men get to someplace safe? Canada's out, they signed a treaty with the Chimp years ago to return "Felons" fleeing Selective Service....Think it covers other types of "refugees", too...

The army belongs to the nation, and that asshole should keep his draft-dodging meathooks off of it.
