6. Maybe we can make him BROKE
after we get the lawsuit dismissed he has against us.. there is a possibility that we can sue him BACK for malicious prosecution..

Maybe that would make his day :)

8. I wonder why this didn't happen sooner
Among the questions, why was he hired to begin with? and what did they expect? I'm surprised Savage didn't say something offensive earlier.

10. Makes sense. Check the vid or the transcript...
The caller mentions the names 'Don and mike.'

Don & Mike are a syndicated duo out of Washington, DC. They bag on Weiner quite a bit, and they seem to have a pretty good following among the gay community.

Me & Sym were laughing about that today - he's Mike, I'm Don. Thought the caller was talking about us for a minute there... :)

I recommend the video. You can watch his TV career end. It's beautiful.

27. No one is next...
...least of all O'Reilly.
Savage got canned because he didn't deliver like the network wanted. The Miami Herald article states that ratings in his slot only "improved marginally." That's not what MSNBC was looking for so the execs used Savage's statements as an excuse. If Savage had Limbaugh's numbers, he'd still be on.

C'mon, think about it. You think "controversy" got him fired? Puh-lease, that's exactly what these Fox wannabes desire. You think he got fired because he said something offensive and the network decided to "do the right thing?" Right, so multinational corporations are driven by morality now?

It's all about the Benjamins, baby, nothing else. And in this game, those equal "ratings."

13. No, Weenie, here's who got you fired:
A narcissistic, arrogant, rude stupid blowhard with little information, even less in the way of manners, a great big microphone, an even bigger ego and a really tiny, pathetic little penis.

Blame him the next time you look in the mirror, ASSHOLE!

Like wasn't the guy just talking about smoking in an airplane restroom when this all happened? How then would it lead to the exchange that got him fired?

One of them gosh dang elitist, aids ridden, sodomite, sausage eaters tricked our hero, the savage wiener boy and got him fired! Hehehehehe. A monolithic testament to his staggering intellect, no doubt.

Got his ass kicked by a "fairy" and now he is cryin like a little girl. How terribly impressive.

21. Where oh where
is the concept of personal responsibility? For years I and others like me were called irresponsible and immoral by the likes of Savage. Yet time and again when these people stumble it is everyone's fault but theirs. Newt's first wife was too sick, his second too boring. Burton's child was his business. Hyde was a youth lead astray. Bush was protecting his daughters when he lied. Give me a friggin break.

26. What an asshole!
It's about time they fired him. But what in the hell was MSNBC doing hiring him in the first place?

It just shows you how insensitive and cruel almost all right-wingers are. Hopefully, the public will get wind of this.

28. There are a gazillion ways to
deal with crank calls. Savage picked the wrong one. He picked one that was hateful and inflamatory to 10% of the population out there and just plain offensive to plenty of the rest of us. Any talk show host with experience can effectively and politely deal with crank calls. Savage's response made him look like a crank.
