That weasel Coleman still thinks God put him in office
MinnFats had a post alerting us that Minnesota Public Radio was doing a Wellstone retrospective. His post was quite thoughtful and I did not want to add my ranting to it.

I turned it on and it was quite good...until they got to an interview done with Normie in the last week. Normie said he doesn't know why he won the election, "maybe it was providence, maybe it was God, I don't know."

I just can't stand it :puke:

1. I wasn't aware God crashed planes
cuz that's the only reason that sleepy-eyed shit won the election. Wellstone would've beaten him. I'll bet you if they'd left Wellstone's name on the ballot, he would have beaten Coleman just like Carnahan beat John "Calico Cats Are Tools Of Satan" Ashcroft.

Really, I didn't know God crashed planes. Unless of course, Coleman is in the habit of referring to Bush as God...

2. You HAVE to be kidding

Can this be transcribed from a source? This is certainly a candidate for Conservative Idiots next week.

The implication that God killed Paul Wellstone. These people are really a disgusting lot.

3. That jackass should be nailed with this over and over
"Mr Coleman, are you saying God caused Paul's plane to crash so you could be Senator?"

The right played up a few boos of Trent Lott at the memorial into a raging 'Travesty'. Coleman's statement is 1000X worse.

He should be raked over the coals by Democrats in the Senate over this incredible callous and cruel remark. I hope the Prez candidates bring this up too.

Extremist religious fanatics. That is the GOP today.

4. That is extremely offensive to me as a religious person
Edited on Fri Oct-24-03 10:15 PM by Lydia Leftcoast
I hope that statement causes even a few of his fundie supporters to think, "Hey, wait a minute..."

On edit: I didn't hear the broadcast, but I think it would be approprirate for someone who did to write an indignant letter to the Trib or the Pioneer Press.

6. This is offensive beyond description
I am sorry that our friends in Minnesota have to put up with this sorry excuse for a human being for five more years.

But then I'm equally sorry that all of America has to put up with him in our Senate.

7. Maybe not God but BBV
Anyone ever look into how much BBV may have played a part in Mondale's defeat? This election result seems to have surprised a lot of people.
