Rummy "laid a turd on the doorstep of happy talk" (Best. Quote. Ever.)
It’s hard to believe that Rumsfeld would go to these lengths to strike a bureaucratic blow at the White House. “He laid a giant turd on the front doorstep of all the happy talk,” says a Senate Republican aide. If Rumsfeld didn’t intend for this memo to get out, then it was a “revenge of the toes,” the aide speculates. “He stepped on so many toes that this was somebody’s way of getting back at him.”

This story has already broke, but I just had to point out that this is the funniest quote I've read in print media for a long time. :D

some bushmaggot saying runsevelt is 'brilliant' cuz he's gonna shake up the 'bureauacracy' (how the hell do you spell it???)
mygod...on local radio one goof talking about how wise boykin's statement really is, another talking about kobe bryant and '18k morons' cheering him and of course npr with the dupe pontificating how rumsevelt's the 'best' defense secretary since 'lovett'(?) and the chin stroker host craftily slipping in that 'there isn't time to explain about 'lovett' (but assuring goofy listeners that the dupe is making sense...)
I could fuken scream.... all radio...all bullshit!

12. It just goes to show you that Ole
Rum-filled still loves to be the star of the show. He's also reassuring us all that he will not go that willingly. They will be pulling him out through the door, and he will be hanging on to the molding.

Also, doesn't it seem a little odd that the old coot is going public with his "leaked" memo? Could it possibly be that he's trying to warn the administration that he'll tattle if they throw his ass out? Maybe this is just a "sample" of what he's willing to do, if they make any more moves to oust him...

It's hard to tell. The guy is just hard to figure out.
