BBV - Help Needed In Kentucky
Yesterday I called all of the Kentucky Congress, 5 Repugs and 1 Dem. All of them sent my request for a chance to speak to a staffer about HR-2239 to voice mail. I did get a call back this morning from Cong. Lewis's office to tell me that there was no interest at this time in voting reform or voting machines. I asked them to get interested and pointed out verifiedvoting.org and blackboxvoting.com/org as good resources for information. I stressed that this is not a partisan issue.

If there are any DUers from Kentucky who could call and attempt to talk to their congressperson about this they might have a better chance than someone from Wa. state. If someone does that, send me a PM and let me know what you found out so I can pass it on to verifiedvoting.org

Thanks for the assistance

1. I have talked to my county
Edited on Fri Oct-24-03 12:28 PM by alfredo
officials, contacted my reps Fletcher and McConnell, no reply from them as yet. County voting officials seemed receptive to our cause.

My cousin is a state rep out of Louisville, Mary lou 34th dist, louisville. you may know of her. Rattle her cage on this issue. Also work on State Senator Ernesto Scorsone 13 dist Lexington. We have to work nationally and locally.

I will contact Flet and Mitch again on HR-2239

Edited because I am listening to Beth Orton and it seemed like the right thing to do.

2. So if Fletcher wins, is everyone go to scream fraud?
Fletcher has been ahead in the polls since the beginning. I do want Chandler to win, but it looks like he may come up short.

3. Kick Until Kentucky Responds
Kentucky - Your Representatives are not informed about the safety of your vote. Their staff voice mails are spilling over with my phone calls but only one has called me back. I live in Wa. state and they probably want to talk to constituents. Call them, let them know what you want as far as a voter verified paper ballot. Ask them to co-sponsor HR2239.

4. Common Kentucky!
We also need help in Tennesee.

If you know of a lawyer in Tennesee who might take on a case of an individual who wants and election audit, post to a public forum over on www.blackboxvoting.org, please?
