I believe that other dork is so moronic to say "we need to remember the bad guy is Saddam--not Bush."

Nice logic. If Saddam = Bad then Bush Not= Bad. Whatever. Applied similarly, If Hitler= Bad, then Stalin = Not Bad.

BULL BULL
Bush = evil, bad, low class, callow, idiot, monkey, embarrassment, gone in 04

26. Wasn't the smoking gun a mushroom cloud?
Sounds to me that while the Intelligence committee may not have cared about nukes... the citizens they are representing apparently did care, otherwise Bush wouldn't have made the mushroom cloud statement.

These kinds of prevarications don't resound, which is good.

Richard Shelby can blame it on the election season all he wants, and every body else can deflect and dissemble. This news has all the smell of something HUGE.

Joseph wanted the line to say Iraq trying to buy 500 tons. CIA negotiated milder line.

It raises a whole number of questions for WH.

Should Rice accept responsiblity??

Tweety: supporters fingering CIA
critics of war fingering WH

Nora: there will be an inspector general from CIA who delivers a report next week.

This is not over, and it is a bipartisan investigation.

Tweety: may not have been the work of this one man.

Nora: WH will not allow staff to testify.

the greatest evil was not Hussein. What I was afraid was going to happen has happened. Al Queda has regrouped. Which was the greater danger? By giving Americans the idea that Iraq was close to nuclear capability, the information was skewed.

Graham:
We're less secure.

Tweety: Bush said we're going to find WMD. Won't that kill your arguments?

Graham: I hope we do find them. Our credibility is significantly eroded. But it isn't just finding WMD. It's finding WMD that posed an imminent threat. 45 minutes, etc.

Tweety: Are there still weapons in Iraq that could be used quickly against us?

Graham: If they find them, their strength will be strengthened. I hope they do.

Tweety: you will be wrong if they find the WMD with imminent threat.

Graham: No. The greater threat has slipped away.

72. Well done
I just caught the 11 p.m. replay after missing the 7 p.m. episode and I thought Graham kept very calm under the interviewing and I admit Chris was much friendlier to Bob than to Kucinich. Graham's had a steady view of this war since before the war resolution and he's been consistent. He said on Hardball his 9/11 report will be out next Thursday, I hope Dubya sticks to that release date, it should bring to light much of the Graham campaign's statements and accusations.

44. The Robert Joseph story can't fly
Trying to force an obvious innacuracy, contested by CIA oversight, into a written legal statement delivered before Congress CAN NOT fall on the shoulders of some no-name.

The White House is the sole authority over the NSA. Condi heads the NSA. Condi answers to Bush. Bush made the statement. Robert Joseph isn't the President. Robert Joseph isn't in charge of telling the American people that they are threatened by imminent nuclear attack.

Robert Joseph is NOT a rogue element.
