Bush impeached or resigned?
I think, if the drums of impeachment get loud enough, Bush will be told he is resigning. He won't be asked to resign. He will be told, for the good of the party and to avoid the embarassment of impeachment, he is extending his vacation. Impeachment proceedings would uncover to many WH secrets and to many people will go down. If Rove, Hughes and Rice trek on down to the ranch around Memorial Day weeend, it will be over for Dubya.

1. Resign in disgrace
Just like Nixon. We don't have time to go through an impeachment. The court of public opinion works much faster then Congress.

3. Bush would never resign. They'd take him out by other means.
The man is too arrogant, conceited and lacking in introspection to ever even consider resignation. But the rich and powerful always have ways of getting what they want.

9. resignation not an option.
That is why I think he won't be asked to resign. He wil be told he has resigned. To avoid a nasty scene, it wil be done at the ranch so they won't have to drag him out of the oval office.

21. Bush will
leave office at the end of his term, not before unless it is feet first. There simply isn't the political will among the American people to impeach and convict a President, any President. If the Democrats insist on trying anyway, they will be sorry for it, same as the Republicans were when they tried to kick Clinton out of office.

5. IMPRISONED!
In the name of all that is good and rightious, barbara's mistake should be behind bars. For Veterans. For stockholders. For Americans.

Let us be conservatives and point the blame elsewhere and right at barbara bush. She chose to give birth to the person who is wreaking the most havoc on the world today. But don't trouble your beautiful mind barbara; I'm sure death, destruction and despair is of no concern to you.

with indictments, sent to the Hague and a jury trial. If he resigns, he should be indicted, sent to the Hague and a jury trial. Either way, he should go to jail.

7. We know it is going to have to happen
before the elections. The Carlyle group will not stand for losing what they have fought so dirtily to achieve. The only point to ponder is who takes the spoils. Cheney hasn't the ability and we can't let C*ndi get her fashionista feet in the door.

while answering pointed questions of why & worldly/historical import; he would end up sealing his own fate imo that would be a hoot

11. Resignation would be fine as far as getting him out of office
but the bastard broke the law and I would really like to see him in court.

Maybe he'll end up in the ICC for war crimes, that'd be nice

12. What if, just what if...
He humbled himself, admitted all his wrongdoings, changed his whole administration, felt really repentant-like sorry, then sat down with Congress and the American people and asked what they want him to do?

Yeah, didn't think so.

13. Resigning like Nixon will only give the Republican Lunacy....
Another excuse to 'get even' again, and a Democratic President in the future will face impeachment over:
Jaywalking, scratching his nuts in the Oval Office, wiping his ass with Presidential toilet paper, having impure thoughts, etc. etc. etc.

15. They could always trick him....
...keep him nice and drunk so that he thinks he's still President while they shuffle him off to the ranch. Keep him away from TVs and newspapers for a while. Meanwhile, they tell the American people that he's died and make him a martyr. In 2008, Cheney runs on honoring Bush's legacy.

That'd be the plan, at least.

Bush in handcuffs and an orange jumpsuit would be a lot better for the TV ratings.

19. I don't care which way it happens.
Just as long as this scandal, and perhaps many more, keep on hounding him, and the GOP will be embarrassed about permitting anyone else from that administration from running in 08.

That way they will have to find an unknown!:hide:

Hes OKed torture, he spies on us and callously states he will continue to do so...and not a peep about disciplining the chimp from the repubs in Congress. And not much of one from the Dems either.

29. We need to remove Bush from office to punish him for abusing the
Constitution. But, Cheney will take over, and he is EVEN WORSE then Bush. Because we all know that Cheney is the REAL PRESIDENT. Bush is just the figurehead. He's the style not the substance. So if all we get is President Cheney, what then?
