What people or group do today's Republicans remind you of the most?

Sure, people use the Nazi parallel, but there are others. The recent Star Wars takes obvious shots at today's government, for example. I said it in an earlier post, the Bush family reminds me of the Malfoy family because they are rich, corrupt, and have lots of influence in politics. Also, like Draco, W wouldn't have gotten anywhere in life had it not been for his father's influence.

The current GOP is nothing more than a cult with all the expected ignorance of a cult following. When the Democratic Party figures out how to deal successfully with cults then we might have a chance. Cults are very dangerous in that followers will do virtually anything (even suicide) that their leader asks of them....There is no longer any logical thought process.
