What possible purpose could a private citizen have for 250lbs of SHEET explosive other than terrorism? In my book, even selling it makes you one (since that is who most likely they are selling it to).

Also remember, there is a VERY fine line between terrorist and revolutionary. While these blokes may stand on one side of that line (that is presumption on my part), the existing laws stand on the other.

aside: I am just glad they found it. 400lbs of C4, along with the missing plutonium from the LosAlmos research center (which is startlingly close to the facility this stuff was stolen from) just floating around inside the country was instilling a fear in me that is indescribable.

6. Actually, we don't know what color they are

and in this part of the country, it could be any combination of colors, creeds, politics, and what have you.

The few snippets that got through on local news were that they all had criminal records for theft and other things, and that "they probably didn't know what they had." You know, they're stupid. It probably took them a whole year after last year's theft (also by dopes who didn't have a buyer ready) to find the place, it was that remote.

That they took the stuff back to the Four Corners and stored it for a week shows that they aint none too swift, that they didn't have a buyer yet, and that the calibre of the New Mexico criminal is not on the rise.

If this had been connected to terrorism in any way, that stuff would have been out of this area the night it was stolen.
