WE need a new development in Niger gate OR NEW controversy
the Dems should be coming together to show a pattern of lying and exaggerating on DOMESTIC ISSUES TOO. Make it simple for the average person glancing at CNN to get through their heads. Lying about budget numbers. Lying about education. Lying about economic news.

What do we have? Anyone? Anyone? I feel this will get old within the week and something new has to surface to keep the president and folks on defensive.

Where are all the other intelligence or WH insiders who can leak info? Where are all the investigative journalists who can dig through and connect the dots.

1. This morning in the Senate the Dem from SD,
I forget his name, did a dynamite presentation on Bush lies about the economy. Very simple. With charts. I think what you're talking about will come to pass, and fairly quickly.

2. yeah....N. Korea brewing mess and Iraq aftermath are good topics too
not just show lying and deceit but also blind incompetence based on some kind of religious zeal he possesses which is his new Opiate.

Bush used to be addicted to alcohol and cocaine but now he's addicted to the rush of feeling God is backing him. He's a deluded religious extremist and a madman. Kind of like his arch enemy Osama bin Laden.

3. Stew it
If you just look at the Niger thing as an isolated instance of radical incompetence, then maybe you do want a rapid boil. But it's really part of a greater whole, which includes the situation in Iraq, the US economy and most ominously for Bush the 9/11 report. The seeds of deception and failure have been planted every where. Pick them over the summer while the nation's on vacation and let them stew until Congress gets back. Then spice with new--and I predict--unRovian poll numbers. (sorry for the extended metaphor, but I keep switching back and forth between DU and fiction)

4. only one problem
Joe Citizen ASSUMES that politicians exagerate and lie. He has had good reason to become this way over the past fourty or more years.

5. so what? lying about not raising taxes or goodies for all is one thing
it is quite another to create a string of lies that result in death and destruction for WAR that was not provoked by Iraq.

according to polls, the average voter didn't care about Clinton fiascos and were mad at Repukes for badgerin him.

I say the DEMOCRATIC LEADERS must point out how horrible it is that death follows from these lies. These men and women want to come home. THey are tired of being hated by Iraqis because of the FUCKED UP POLICIES OF THIS JUNTA.

THis is not a democratically elected leader running things.
