This is a post I just put on my livejournal. I didn't tell my livejournal friends that even when I'm busy with work, I always find time to hang out on DU.

I am astounded.................

and have been for a number of days. I've also been working an awful lot so I haven't been over here that much. That would be why you didn't hear me talking about this, on say, Sunday. I been waiting impatiently for Patrick Fitzgerald to hand down the next set of indictments and watching Rove frog marched out of the Whitehouse. I've also been hoping that come the midterms, we will throw out a number of Culture of Corruption Republicans and once we have the majority in Congress back, impeach Dubya or should I say Dumbya and his master. What I hadn't been waiting for was Dumbya to come out on television and confess to high crimes and misdemeanors and then effectively double dare America to do something about it. Wow, that was just amazingly stupid, even for him and that's putting the bar pretty damn low. I mean we are talking about Bush after all, the master of low expectations.

Now, we get to find out just how far we've actually gone down the fascist road. And George W. Bush gets to find out if it really is easier to be a dictator. I'm hoping not.

Did I mention that I'm astounded? Floored, really. He managed, on an idle Saturday, to make Nixon look like a fucking choir boy.

Okay, Republicans, the gauntlet has been thrown down by one of your own, for fucks sake! What ya gonna do (when they come for you)???
