So..do you think Al Queda is recruiting our older drivers
by offering them money to cover their retirment years if they turn our automobiles on us as weapons of mass destruction?

I bring it up in this way because if you look at how many poor and innocent Americans die in car wrecks every year (Especially the number of pedestrians) then perhaps there should be a "War on Traffic" or some such thing.

Are the people who die tragically at the hands of an 86 year old driver any less heroic or patriotic than the folks up in the offices of WTC?

I believe it is something worth thinking about.

2. No, they're more likely to go after our immortal teenagers.
Teens are better at driving fast and ignoring likely consequences. And every so often, one or two grab some guns and shoot up a school. Failing teens, I'd go after RW religious fundies -- they're good at witch hunts, clinic bombings, and the occasional sniper attack. And they're much more active than are 80+ year-olds. Then, there are crack-heads -- they'd be good for a little mayhem in return for some money to buy drugs. Yeah, Al Qaida must be behind all of these.

So, why not blame Al Qaida? After all, it couldn't be our society that's behind this stuff, now could it?

4. I just think that it's pitiful that some people
cannot exhibit a little respect for our elderly.

5. I hope that's not direce at me tbecause my post was for other reasons
namely: willingness for administration to blame everything on Al Queda, real problems affecting our lives in this country like traffic deaths, etc.

finally, ever seen insurance tables? Most deaths caused by drivers around 16 to 18 yrs and then those in their late 70s and 80's We know the young people could do better if they were given mandatory trianing that was more aggresively drilling in the dangers, etc. Young people get better as drivers as they get older. OTOH Older drivers continue to be high risk as they get older. I think there should be some kind of tougher regimen that costs more if Oldest drivers want to continue driving and would like to verify their continued ability to drive well.

SOmething has to happen. Death rates on our highways have really gone up again so that they are the greatest they've been in 10 or 12 years.

7. Bush: "If we don't cut down nation's forests...the terrorists win."
I like reasoning someone used. Based on rationale put forward by Bush after 911 that "they hate our way of life and our freedom", they will soon be downright chummy with us and perhaps even feeling a little sympathy for us soon.

stupic Yalie C student jackass.

8. stupic? does that mean he was a D student?
anyway, did you hear the RIAA is equating "intellectual property theft" with TERRORISM????????

on the news a guy was saying that it's a VERY lucrative moneymaker for criminals--read terrorists--he used the word, along with organized crime.

so, if you're burning those plates off the web, and spreading em around, YOU are a TERRORIST!

better not be burnin weed while your burnin plate.

what time is it?
