Correction: I didn't know airplanes were sometimes called hydroplanes. I thought they were boats.

3. Hydroplanes are racing boats...
If there ever was a reference to an airplane being a hydroplane it would be back in the wright brothers days. Water based aircraft are usually referred to as "seaplanes"

If you have a link that uses the term "Hydroplane" for air based vehicles, I would love to see it.
