He really does think that he's King george...
I was screaming and going almost losing control of myself listening to this arrogant ass! He has the nerve to think that no one can ask him a follow up question. Whats wrong with these reporters?

Where are the ones who question Scotty because these are either handpicked or scared to death of this punk. When one of these reporters ask about some part of the spy info going unchecked , Bush had the nerve to get angry. He really believes that he can't be questioned and thinks that he is making the decisions himself. Some of this stuff he is doing is because of Biden. The reporter never got to fully ask his question and bush shewed him away like he was some little minion and he is the dictator or king.

1. How "angry" is angry?
I don't think I've ever seen a President show overt anger before. That's not a good thing.

4. He had a list. The questions were pre-screened. It was staged.
Can I prove it? Nope. Absolutely every question was prepped. He ran down a list of reporters he called on. Kabuki.

5. And who's fault it that?
The reporter needs to get a set of balls and stand up to Bush. The number one problem with the Democrat party is a lack of backbone.

6. What I don't understand is,
if getting in the white house press room means listening to Scottie regurgitate the same old lying crap, why is that such a valuable position to have as a journalist? Wouldn't it be better to be out on your own sniffing out the hot stories? Arghhh!!! Our journalists have no integrity -- no idea what a journalist really is! And none of them have the backbone to buck the system.

BTW, welcome to DU, theoldman!!! :hi:

7. what I 'm saying is that ...
Edited on Mon Dec-19-05 04:18 PM by butterfly77
the reporters who come to press briefings usually come back with a follow up. Even though I wasn't that crazy about Sam Donaldson, he would get on their asses, dem or repug. These so called reporters are scared as hell, at least the men are, the women ask all of the tough questions.

10. Who's the "Democrat" Party?
Don't you mean Democratic Party?
Democrat is not an adjective.

Oh, and welcome to DU. :hi:

You'll find that Republican phrasing of "Democrat" Party is a pet-peeve of many on this board. ;)

12. There is no such thing as "the Democrat party." Pay attention.
The official, recognized, legal name is "The Democratic Party." Just the briefest research should be enough for any but the most ditto-headed reichbot. As an anti-partisan independent, even I know this.

See http://www.dnc.org/a/party/ourorganization.html

Our Organization

The Democratic National Committee
The Democratic National Committee plans the Party's quadrennial presidential nominating convention; promotes the election of Party candidates with both technical and financial support; and works with national, state, and local party organizations, elected officials, candidates, and constituencies to respond to the needs and views of the Democratic electorate and the nation.

The Democratic Governors' Association
The Democratic Governors’ Association was founded in 1983 to support the candidacy of Democratic governors throughout the nation. The DGA provides political and strategic assistance to gubernatorial campaigns. In addition, the DGA plays an integral role in developing positions on key state and federal issues that affect the states through the governors’ policy forum series.

The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee
The purpose of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee is to elect more Democrats to the United States Senate. From grass-roots organizing to candidate recruitment to providing campaign funds for tight races, the DSCC is working hard all year, every year to increase the number of Democratic Senators. http://www.dscc.org/

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee
The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee serves as the official national Democratic campaign committee charged with recruiting, assisting, funding, and electing Democrats to the U. S. House of Representatives. We provide services ranging from designing and helping execute field operations, to polling, creating radio and television commercials, fundraising, communications, and management consulting.

The Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee
The Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee provides strategic services and financial assistance to Democratic leaders and candidates at the state legislative level. For nearly a decade, DLCC has been an integral part of the continued success Democrats have had winning at the state legislative level.

8. Tough reporters
I know we like to get on reporters but for the most part they did ask some tough questions. But Bush never answers any question. He rambles, wanders off topic and spouts talking points (when he can remember them). Frankly it's hard to follow up with a question when the first one isn't answered. The question asker is only as good as the question answerer. And Bush has shown now for 5 years he has no knowledge to give in return.

11. At least the reporters at the press conferences..
held with Scottie, act like they are a tag team. When he dosen't answer they follow up and don't let him get away with it. If they did this more often Bush would get angry more often, and people would get to see the real Bush meaning:the liar, dummy and phoney.
