Elephant in the room? Who keeps giving journalists security info?
It has to come from the people who KNOW the information...so..........

It has to come from inside the WH somewhere.

1. It would fit a pattern for these criminals
to have leaked the info themselves, or given the NYT the go ahead, so that * could then go before the public and try to garner permission (a mandate) to subvert the constitution.

Or have I had too much coffee??

2. It could also come from DIA (or Pentagon more generally) or...
State or CIA. It could also come from one of many ex-officials that used to work in these agencies that still talk with each other and those still in the agencies.

3. In this case, I believe I read that the info came from former
employees. Remember the CIA clean out job? I think it may be biting somebody in the ass.

I bet there are even factions withing the CIA---pro-Bush and anti-Bush.
