Nobody's Listening

Maybe I'm the only one on a mental vacation; but I basically checked out about the time of Scooter (and I'm a political junkie who lived on message boards). But, I haven't heard nor heard the reviews of any of Bush's speeches in these last couple months regarding Iraq or anything else (didn't even know that he had a televised one before the one he apparently gave last night). My point---if I, who do have interest in it, have turned off the whole thing in my head, I can guarantee you that the only people who have tuned in and listened to him are basically 1) his nutcase base praying that he's saving his useless hide; and 2) people, like us, who want to witness this out of control free fall. He's now a victim of the apathy and ignorance the repukes have created in the American people---he can't redeem himself because NOBODYS LISTENING!!!

...we have to get on with our lives. I agree with you; life's too short to monitor every fart Bush releases in our general direction. I, for one, have other things to do, like paint the bathroom, or change the oil in the snowblower.

Bush says nothing of consequence. Then the newspapers "applaud" him for his candor.

Who cares? It's all BS. A charade. He doesn't care how his speeches are received because he's a dictator and he's gong to do as he damn well pleases, anyway. He only makes the speeches so his propaganda machine has something to cheer. There is no meaning to his words.

4. I haven't listened to a single speech by Bush.

I just can't stand the sound of his voice. I can read transcripts of his speeches
and listen to the analysis. I do this to preserve what's left of my sanity after the
disaster of the last two presidential elections... and to keep my blood pressure in check.
