If Abu Ghraib is any indicator, here’s the result of the NSA Spy Scandal:
Scandal hearings followed by a debate on the necessity of these powers in a "Post 9/11 World." A law will be passed to make Domestic Spying illegal EXCEPT when the President says it isn’t, codifying the Imperial Presidency into law. The Corporate Media, however, will hail the new law as a victory for civil liberties.

It’s gotten to the point where I HATE new BushCo "scandals" because I know that just means they get MORE power.

PS: NPR this morning had Bobby Inman on apologizing for the NSA and the NPR interviewer was actually casting the interview as "Bobby, you give up too much". I'm at work now, but you'll find the link at http://www/npr.org.
