1. I'm so glad someone else is thinking what I'm thinking...
I'm doubly upset about this spying... Due to the fact
the current administration does *NOTHING* which isn't
politically motivated.

"TELL CONGRESS WE NEED REAL HEARINGS ON SPYING IN THE U.S. WITHOUT WARRANT
Considering that virtually every word out of the president's mouth for the last
five years has been a certifiably pathological lie, one cannot fault those who
suspect his angry and defiant defense of his secret campaign to spy on Americans
is just another elaborate fiction.
You can call your members of Congress right now on one of these toll-free numbers, 888-818-6641 or 888-355-3588. "

IMHO our constitution matters more than any politician, even if they happen to become president, and especially when they were never fairly elected and tell so many dangerous lies.

Picture the white house --

a dialog bubble -- and we see a list of Democratic names . .

next bubble -- Is that your Christmas List, sir?

next bubble -- no that my spy list.

10. That was its only purpose.
These bastards never gave a thought to terrorism and they still don't.

Before 9/11, no securing of borders, ports, dysfunctional FBI and CIA.

After 9/11, no securing of borders, ports, dysfunctional FBI, gutted CIA

12. Why else would he not get a warrant?
The secret court he was supposed to go to grants 100% of such requests, and allows you to start the wiretapping right away as long as you get the warrant within 72 hours. He decided to break the law and skip the warrant. Why? As you say, because he is spying on peace activists and Quakers, that's why! The story about the Pentagon database is not a separate story - it's the same thing - Nixon's enemies list all over again.

It's as if the ghost of Nixon hovers over this White House. Or is it just the influence of ex-Nixonites Cheney and Rumsfeld?
