fess up - who didn't watch bubble-boy's speech?
I didn't. NPR had live broadcasts of two other "speeches" - both were essentially the same so I didn't see where there would be any "new" information coming out of the TV broadcast.

I did book-mark the transcript and will read it later - it's less painful than listening to the ummms and errs... I did quickly scan the transcript - nothing really new... same crap

I did watch Once Upon A Mattress -- enjoyed that.

While I would have been amused to watch the fukstick try to lie his ass off about tapping American citizens again, there was a football game, Wizard of Oz, three DVDs from last holiday season, four un-returned phone calls, several blogs to check up on and a real life. If I wanted to live in asshat's bubble world, I'd be a Repugnican.

Cheers...

33. Exactly...
On 9-12 the free world declared, "Today we are all Americans."

No one had a problem with us invading Afghanistan -- me neither.

Bush miscalculated. Backed & informed only by his inner circle -- he thought that the American people would largely accept that all Arabs are pretty much the same.

He may have been counting on a tacit racism among his supporters.

America doesn't work this way. We need facts -- not generalizations to agree to risk blood & treasure on far flung adventures (not to mention that Bush acted as if he had a mandate.)

Humble Americans enjoy humble leadership. Arrogant leadership should annoy all but the most arrogant voters.

Now it's about five seconds, I become quite violent after that much and the electronic divices spewing the filth would never survive after that. Like a lot of people, kind of knew this Bush dude was a weasel at first glimpse. Maybe people shouldn't be that way with other people but with this Bush guy in focus it's just a simple matter of reason and making the exception

76. I stopped watching his speeches
a while ago. I used to watch just to see how many malaprops would drop out of his mouth.

78. comment from my boss
my boss asked me yesterday if I watched the speech, I said no, it was the same speech he's given over the past couple of weeks

boss: yeah, well, last night he didn't seem to stumble over his words as much, but I guess when you give the same speech over and over again you improve with practice...

81. I read the transcript. Too much organic brain disease for me.
I cannot watch him speak without becoming physically ill. He reminds me so much of my grandfather's Parkinson's, a dear friend with mid-stage Alzheimer's, and a late client who had near chronic petit mal seizures that I just want to reach through the screen and look in his medicine cabinet. There's got to be a couple score of scrips in there to keep him under control.

The man's brain is a wreck. It drives me bonkers that someone so fried has access to the button.

82. He lies too much. I don't want that sort of "wood." (rant on)
The village idiot lies entirely too much. Even when he is telling the truth, it feels like we are getting screwed. Listening to him tell me he's screwing us is not something I'd volunteer to do.

Besides, do we really need to watch him when we will hear about it for the next week and a half? I mean really, he was on for over an hour the next day after the Sunday night interruption. He's beginning to look more and more like one of those dictators in other countries who broadcast their face and their version of events to the people in those countries reminding them that their country is the best in the world and that he is all knowing and all wonderful. :puke: Fuck that sob. I'd rather sit around and watch paint dry. Damn, just hearing about the surveillance makes me want to piss 'em off more. I don't know why that news has had that effect on me, but it has.

Sorry, for such a long rant, but I just had to get it off my chest.

93. I sure didn't
What would be achieved except a lot of negative energy?
It distresses me very much, and with no net karmic gain, to listen to him speak and to see that smile/smirk he does after every point he makes. So I don't allow him in.

"There are 26 letters in the alphabet"
*smirk*
"That's why we have to wiretap our citizens."

No, thanks.
