Pete King (R) said if Clinton had Spied, 9/11 Wouldn't have Happened?!?
Did anyone else see this a-hole on CNN? He was defending Bush...said that if spying was used in 1998/99 (in other words, when Clinton was President), we wouldn't have experienced 9/11!

Charlie Rangel had the opportunity of a lifetime. He could of said, "If Clinton had been President, 9/11 probably wouldn't have happened, because Clinton was on top of everything, UNLIKE THE CURRENT IDIOT!" But no, he blah-blahed about spying being wrong (well, duh.)

If Dems are going to let Republicans use Bush's spying as an excuse to BLAME CLINTON for 9/11 without bringing up the fact that 9/11 HAPPENED ON BUSH'S WATCH, I HAVE HAD IT WITH THEM!

Sorry about the caps, but I am so pissed off right now!

1. i heard cheney hock up the same pile.
they HAD all of the info they needed.

BIN LADEN DETERMINED TO STRIKE IN US.

THEY DID NOTHING.

There can be only one explaination. They are complicit. They either didnt care if it happened or were actively lnvolved in it.

7. I've always been of the opinion...
that the whole scenario with Clinton came about BECAUSE he didn't go along with the "Project for a New American Century" aka PNAC.Everything...from Monica Lewinsky to 9/11 happened because Big Dog basically told them to stick their plan for world domination in their ass! :headbang:

8. Really? What AMERICAN CITIZEN WAS INVOLVED IN 9/11?
If he's concealing evidence, now is the time to tell. Right now.]

Is he refusing to tell because they were Republicans?

If 9/11 could have been prevented by Clinton spying on Americans, then pray tell, which Americans were involved in 9/11? Hmmmmm?

10. Hmmm
And if we installed video cameras in everyone's homes and forced all Americans to wear electronic ankle bracelets so we can track their every move, then we could probably make a really good dent in the national crime rate.

Do Republicans really want to go down this road?

19. Well yeah
That's what I'm getting at. I know I shouldn't be surprised at anything after the shit we've been through over the past five years, but I'm still somewhat astonished at the sight of Republicans celebrating the illegal wiretapping of American citizens.

Here's a little gem from Rep. Dana Rorbacher in case you missed it:

"Not only proud, we can be grateful to this president."

How nice. We can be grateful to this president for ruining our Democracy. Good job, George! You have screwed up our country just like you screw up everything else you touch.

... that the Bushoilini Regime can't wiretap them with as free a disdain as they can individual citizens. Funny how that works, huh? For example ... where's the transaction trail on the airline stock short sales immediately before 9/11???

12. If George Bush read his PDBs 9/11 might not have happened.
The Clinton administration told the Bush administration they would spend more time on bin Laden than anything else. The intelligence was there. This administation was too "ate-up" with itself to notice it. PERIOD.

31. Bush probably has too much dirt on them for them to speak out.
He wasn't spying on "terrorists," I can guarantee you. Otherwise, he would have been able to go to the special court, as provided by law, to get his warrants even up to 72 hours after he started wiretapping. He wasn't spying on terrorists. He was spying on people he knew the courts would not allow him to spy on - perhaps politicians. Perhaps, you and I.

24. Peter King is a total POS.
One thing that has never been brought up about him was his involvement during the 90's with getting Gerry Adams his visa to visit the US.

Maybe ole Pete should ask Gerry and few of his Provo buddies, how they feel about being spied on by the Brits. Mr. King might change his mind after he hears what the Belfast & Derry brigades have to say about it.

All those Irish-Americans on Long Island that put that POS back in Congress year after year, ought to think about this as well. Once again the hypocrisy of the Republican party knows no bounds.

33. King is a Long Island Republican apparatchik
The Nassau County Republican Machine (tm) has a reputation as a showpiece for patronage and cronyism. The physical environment there is beautiful, but the population has a large demographic of self-satisfied suburbanites who are still as smug as city dwellers, but under less pressure, and so more conservative. Gas will be passed, hold your nose and ignore it until it blows away with the next prevailing media wind.
