least of these (graphic)
"Matt. 25:44-45 (KJV) "They also will answer, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?'

"He will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.'

1. Actions speak louder than words
So many times we heard so called religious people spout this or that dogma, but it comes down to this: how have we treated our fellow humans. There's a Sufi story about the perfect pilgrimage. Pilgrimage is a duty of all Muslims to perform if they are financially able, at least once in their lifetime. As I understand it, there is a lot of ritual involved, and it is rare for a pilgrim to do everything exactly right. Imagine the surprise of a Sufi sheihk one time, when God came to him in a dream and told him that Abdul the Merchant had performed the perfect pilgrimage, and so all pilgrims were blessed. The next morning, the sheihk went to Abdul to find out how he was able to perform the perfect pilgrimage. The merchant welcomed him into his home, but looked puzzled when the sheihk asked him about the pilgrimage. "I didn't go this year. I had been before, as you know; and when I found my neighbor had lost everything and was starving, I took the money I had been saving and gave it all to him."

3. I'll use that directly,
with that quote and the link to that photo. There are several rabid chickenhawk-lovers on my union BBS, and I take particular delight in seeing them biting themselves in impotent rage. Thanks!

I'm not a card-carrying Christian, but I always used to say "Merry Christmas!" to all, and with the proper spirit. But this year, I'll follow the example set by the White House. "SEASON'S GREETINGS!"

5. I saw that on DU the other day and saved it for that same purpose.
Here's another DU "find" that I'll also use there at the appropriate time:
------------------------------------------------------------------------
PRESIDENT OF THE USA AND LEADER OF THE WORLD. GOD
BLESS AMERICA.

(Touch each christmas tree with the mouse, to see the
details).
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm not going to please those SCISSORBILLS, but I no longer give a rat's rectum about their "wounded sensibilities".
