So how many Dems have knowledge of government / Bush crimes?
there were a number of them who saw the reportedly horrendous torture photos. In other words, they saw clear evidence of crimes. If a citizen knows of a crime aren't they required by law to report it?
And what of other closed sessions and "investigations"?

Is there any doubt that there are Congress people, including Dems, who know a whole lot about Bush admin crimes?

The latest spying revelations were not news to some either.
From the NYT article:

"The administration had briefed congressional leaders about the NSA program and notified the judge in charge of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court, the secret Washington court that handles national security issues. Aides to National Intelligence Director John Negroponte and West Virginia Sen. Jay Rockefeller, the top Democrat on the Senate Intelligence Committee, declined to comment Thursday night."

So we can pretty much rest assured that another closed session investigation will be a joke.

What about the Democrats (& Republicans)who have knowledge of criminal acts? Will they ever be held accountable?

1. They probably all know!
But who can squawk when most all are guilty or implicated of the same thing?

I don't think so
the press is specifically immune,
allowed to report on crimes in progress

some states have "good samaratin" laws,
but I don't think it's a federal requirement,
except maybe in certain cases where laws have specified it.

3. The Next One Will Be The First
Democrats allowed themselves to get coward by Repugnicans and their proxies. A lot of it was the product of what we're learning was a long running and very well financed political machine determined to destroy Democrats, the middle class and roll back nearly 70 years of Social and civic progress. They wanted to bring back the golden age of robber barons and imperialism...and be damned if they didn't do it.

Democrats were beseiged by scandals...both real and contrived, along with a relentless coordinated media and political attack on any positions the Repugnican party hierarchy felt was a threat. The strength of this "push-back" was so strong that many Democrats had no clue on how to respond...lash out and be assured of being turned into the next Gary Condit. Come out being against the military and be framed as being weak and "Un-American"...speak out against any Repugnican pet issue and be labeled a "librul", "socialist", "commie", "tax & spender". Many have spent the last decade boxing these strawmen and ghosts and continue to play into the Repugnican's hands.

While there are some Democrats that have spoke out and used the limited power they have to confront this regime, the vast majority of the Democratic party, including the leadership, is still afraid of the "push-back" they know comes anytime they speak publicly. There is no intrepid Democrat who can rise above and pull the party together, either...thus compounding the frustration and characterizations.

The acts of this regime have long been known to many to be criminal, but the lack of power prevents much. Our best hopes are enough people are getting angry so that the Repugnican domination of the legislative branch ends next year and some responsibility and accountability is brought back into our government and society.

The Democrats have to create a delicate strategy that points out the corrupt actions of this regime, but with positive alternatives that will make people want to vote FOR Democrats rather than against Repugnicans. I'm not sure we're even close to seeing that happen yet.
