I wonder how much security they have at the checkpoints now.
Last year it seemed pretty tight--I can only imagine it is worse this year.
Anyone know for sure how many forms of ID we will need?;)
Edited for misspelled word.

1. Checkpoints?
Do you mean at the border with Mexico?
If so, just take a passport.
:silly: And just remember, that AZ is still part of the good old USofA!! LOL

2. There aren't any checkpoints that I drive through in Arizona
It's the Texas-Mexico-New Mexico border that I was worried about, lol.

3. Just take your driver's license
We don't need passports quite yet

5. I haven't gone into Mexico for years
it's such a dump right across the border. I used to take my passport for convenience as
proof of citizenship but I was never asked for any ID when returning. So much for any border
security.

6. They always asked me where I was born
and used that as their check because a Mexican national would have to think about it for a minute (so they thought). I'm fish belly white, so they didn't bother with much of a check. They'd ask me what I bought, I'd wave my Benavidez bag and say "drugs," and they'd wave me through.

There is also a border check station on the interstate, but I've always just been waved through that one.

7. Last year they stopped me going through
and had to show ID.
This is the one outside of Las Cruces.
They were checking everyone which backed up the traffic quite a bit.
I came back home through Albuquerque just to avoid the hassle.
