So now that the president admits that he allowed spying on the American
people.

It is ok according to Pat Buchanan and that we should investigate who leaked the information to the Times over 1 year ago.

Well my answer to that, Julian Epstein, you are weak, and if you had half a political brain, might have replied in this fashion:

Well if the president feels so strongly about the leaking of this information and how it has harmed America, why didn't he start an investigation over a year ago, when he knew the Times had the story. He just asked them not to report it and they complied. Why wait for a year? He didn't he try to find the "leaker".

Secondly, this is a case of a leak that shows illegal wrong doing with in the gov't. You know sort of like whistle blowing.

That is not what the CIA leak is about.

1. Bush obviously hates us for our freedoms.
He hates America.

And he's using Iraq and that trillion dollar debt to bring us down.

He is SO sick, a very sick puppy.

2. I'm watching a replay of his speech. I wish he had been this upset
about leaking when it involved Joe Wilson's wife. I wish he had been so upset that he'd stop covering for his handlers who did the leaking.

I think the best way to tell who is a Republican is by their hypocrisy.

3. Oh don't you see the dems are the hypocrits. They want an
investigation for the CIA leak do you think they will want one for the spying leak?

It is a obsfucation! One which the press will be proud to report upon.

It's a win win for the pubs. Lets blame the leakers, they did more harm than Bush. And dems can't fight it because they are all for investigations of leaks.

It will probably work because the dems are weak, and not on message.

4. I don't have any problem with an investigation of a leak. I hope
the investigation includes who told the NYTimes not to report it a year ago, and why, if they were so concerned, the leak wasn't investigated then.

Seems to me that the only reason Bush is concerned about the leak is because it makes him look bad.
