First Schiavo, now Xmas, do Xtians need something to do? They
Edited on Sat Dec-17-05 12:55 AM by NVMojo
could try helping the poor from Mississippi and Louisiana, or stop the torture in US gitmos, or stop the godless president and his pals from performing more hate and havoc on the world ...but NO, not today's Xtians! they are too busy being hateful and self righteous. Jesus must be spinning ...

2. You know, they ruined my Easter with all the Schiavo stuff
Edited on Sat Dec-17-05 01:16 AM by Blue_In_AK
and now they're taking away the joy of Christmas. I just don't get it with these people. Don't they realize they're following the Antichrist? :sarcasm: (or maybe not).

3. Fundies have an empty, soulless religion
The only way they work up any community spirit is by feeling persecuted.

6. Sick people
who have ruined my pre-Christmas season. Several times while checking out at a store some ass in line feels the need to bring up the war on Christmas. These are especially lovely people -seething with anger and hate. Even the "merry Christmas" is said defiantly rather than a thoughtful greeting.
The RW anger machine says jump and an awful lot of people say "how high!"

I think they thrive on the adrenalin of anger and will fall in line for the next one since their issues always fade away.

7. Not all of us are doing that

The first week of January a bunch from my church will be going to help Katrina victims. My dad said he might go if he's feeling up to it (back and he has knee problems sometimes). We raised tons of money and groups have been down there a few times to directly help and get items such as clothes etc.

8. WWJD,
Would Jesus support the death penalty?
Would Jesus support a preemptive war?
Would Jesus support cutting benefits to the poor and infirm?
Would Jesus support torture?
Would Jesus support nationalism over a person's need for a better job, a living to support a family?
Would Jesus support lying for political gain?
Would Jesus support the death of innocents for an influential democracy in the middle east which supports America's oil supply so that we can drive SUVs on a buck fifty a gallon?
Would Jesus recognize modern Americans as followers of his teachings?
Would Jesus recognize men like Pat Robertson or Jerry Falwell as followers of his teachings?
Would Jesus hate homosexuals, born with a different sexual orientation, made by god?
Would Jesus want rape victims to bare an ill conceived child?
Would Jesus forgive a death row inmate or would Jesus throw the switch?

Would Jesus be a fundamentalist?
