You know, if it REALLY is "Our Money", why can't we just decide

what we want, and then it's up to our elected officials to "fit it all in".. That's why we hire them..

We just need a laundry list of "stuff we want/need", and our taxes will cover those things.. anything left over can be used for guns & shit..

My starter list....

1. Free education (a GOOD education) for pre-school thru 12+2
2. Teachers' pay equal to at least airline pilot status
3. Nationalized health care (with RX) for everyone (expand medicare)
4. Minimum wage of at least $10 an hour
5. 50% tariff on any American company-made goods made outside the US (if available workers here)
6. Gasoline/heating products price controlled..cap it at $1.50 a gal.. CEOs can just make less

We can't even win elections because nothing is legitimate! If we had control of "our money" there'd be a vast difference in what's been paid toward Iraq vs. what should be paid toward Katrina.
We have no control...yet.
