FR: Rush Makes Lemonade Over WH Patriot Act Loss
Some FR misspellings are just funnier than others.

Freeper reports Rush is "making lemonade" because this just "shows how vial the other side is!"

WE'RE VIAL! LOL... But THEY...are VILE.

I know you are, but what am I? Funny thread! They are unbelievably stupid, but amazingly, even a lot of the FREEPERS aren't with the Patriot Act.

1. Difference between Rush and The Hindenberg?
One is a flaming Nazi gasbag, and the other is a dirigible.

7. Wow these folks are deluded
The defeatocrats have come out against the Patriot act. Concerns for privacy are voiced but it seems that the real reason is the term “patriot” is offensive to a significant part of their constituency. It is a much too American term. It makes them uncomfortable.

No we don't like it because it's unconstitutional.

Still I see we even have some freeper support on that.

This is a win for everyone.

9. That is really reaching, there
Maybe freepers prefer a regimented military state, with snappy uniforms for all.

10. Freepers don't wear uniforms - others are sent to die in their place
Freepers are cowards by nature.

11. Yeah, the name Patriot really bothers us. Because we hate patriots.
No, dimwits, we don't like it for what's IN the act. The use of the word "patriot" is, however, about as accurate as the neocon use of the word "reform". The patriots from our revolution of 1776 would be appalled by this draconian legislation.

8. Apparently Martial Law is BETTER than the Patriot Act anyway...
Edited on Fri Dec-16-05 04:54 PM by GloriaSmith
Holy shit there are some insane people in this country:

It is better to declare martial law (suspend the constitution) and perform the necessary intrusive surveillance on a temporary basis while war is in effect.

The Patriot Act is a permanent violation of the Constitution that will be used for political purposes in the future.
