TOBIN guilty on two counts
New Hampshire phone-jammer Tobin guilty on two counts, say our sources.

Late Update: We've got this triple sourced. So I think this one's a done deal.

1. On the AP wire
CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - A jury returned with a split verdict Thursday in the case against a former national Republican Party official accused of orchestrating a plot to jam the Democrats' phones on Election Day 2002.

The jury acquitted James Tobin of the most important of three charges - violating voters rights - and convicted him on two counts of telephone harassment.

Tobin, 45, of Bangor, Maine, was President Bush's New England campaign chairman last year.

For nearly two hours on Election Day 2002, hundreds of hang-up calls overwhelmed Democratic get-out-the-vote phone banks in New Hampshire and a ride-to-the-polls line run by Manchester's firefighters union.

3. It's fucking ridiculous...the whole intent was to prevent them from voting
The jury are all assholes. it was probably a compromise with the juror that was paid off.
