4. Actually it costs MSNBC money

and it may be against the rules to suggest to click simply to click. I know it is with google ads.

Edited to say I'm an idiot. I just checked with blogads and it looks like they pay a flat fee. So it won't "hurt" anything, but it doesn't look like it "helps" anything either to artificially inflate the number of click-throughs.

also if we hit it, they'll be more liable to keep buying the space

16. Doctor........

I have a blogad on my website and the more clicks the better. They count the total hits to the website and then the clicks to the ad, then you get a percentage of click thrus to total hits.

Example: I had 60,147 hits to my website in a 6 week period, during that time 1,643 people clicked my blogad, that's a 2.732% click thru rate.

So the more clicks the better in the blogad world. The more people who click the ads the more the customers who buy the ads think it is worth it. It's all about the click thru rate, the more the better.

6. Vote for the Hardball's political play
of 2005. Damn this is hard.
What was the best political play of 2005?
Cardinals go with an insider
Sheehan camps out in Crawford
Democrats force GOP hand
Miers nomination pulled
Woodward's revelation
'Deep Throat' identified
Schiavo dominates politics
CIA Leak Investigation
Katrina roars
The War in Iraq

My top four
The War in Iraq
Katrina roars
CIA Leak Investigation
Sheehan camps out in Crawford

Which will it be??? You can only choose one.

11. But
the War, Cindy and Plamegate are all about the war so it's really between The War and Katrina for me. Still thinking about this one.

I realize it's nitpicking, but Keith deserves his name to be spelled correctly. It's slightly uncomfortable to read people glowing about Keith, and deservedly so, but at the same time not spelling his name correct.

It has 2 N's at the end, NOT 1.

14. It depends on how the campaign is set up...
But it can't hurt to click anyway.

Sorry for the commentary. It's all those years in online advertising.

DU.com gets paid a set amount by the week, the month, or 3 months, no matter how many clicks the ad gets, they set the ad rates by how many hits the website has a month, not by how many people click the ads.

On edit: I forgot one, you can buy a blogad for 1 week, 2 weeks, 1 month, or 3 months. And there is a premium ad and a standard ad, the premium ad is $1000 a week, $2000 for 2 weeks, $4000 for 1 month, and $10,000 for 3 months.
