HELP! Plame investigation debate
This jack ass says:

"if you really want to talk about TREASON - I suggest that you take a good long glance at John Kerry - and Jack Murtha and follow their actions - they are the ones who really have comitted treason - and they should be held accountable for it.. This Valerie Plame incident doesn't amount to nothing - and you know it. It's just something you libbers can hang your jockey shorts on as a means of crying wolf!- Cripe it's debatable if she even held a roll in the CIA - Personally, I think she had a dream - and it's all in her little pea-brain mind - just how important she really thinks she is! It was a nice try Douggie old boy - but absolutely no sympathy here for the battle-axe and that publicity seeking mate of hers!!"

I know I shouldn't argue with these idiots, but...

anyway, I need some help here. Thanks!

3. Just ask this question:
Edited on Thu Dec-15-05 04:01 PM by rpgamerd00d
"So, you don't think its treason to reveal the identity of a CIA Agent?"

Ignore the rest, since its all just diatribe to divert attention away from the main point.

"Valerie Plame incident doesn't amount to nothing - and you know it."

It DOESN'T amount to NOTHING! Not great grammar, but he just admitted that there is something to it.

5. "it's debatable if she even held a roll in the CIA"
Well, the word I hear from the CIA lunch room is that she held an entire loaf of bread once.

Please -- this is nothing but BS diversion.

Fact: VP was in the CIA
Fact: The CIA asked the justice department to investigate

6. The result of having limbaugh as a professor
I'm a vet. I follow the news. I'd love to know how Sen Kerry and Rep Murtha have committed treason. If they have done so I would gladly be a member of their firing squad.

Quite a simple little test. If plame had been the wife of a donor to the gop and her position had been exposed by Ted Kennedy, your jackass would have had a heartattack of hate by now. Wrong is wrong said the liberal. Wrong is what I say it is said the conservative.

8. If Valerie Plame didn't work for the CIA , then why did the CIA
ask for an investigation? In addition, would they ask for an investigation if she was a commonly known desk jockey or secretary? Hm?

Your sparring partner is obviously deluded if he believes that outing a CIA agent isn't a big deal but exercising ones first amendment rights is?

9. A good hearty belly laugh is a great way to shut them up.
Then when they ask what you're laughing at, reply, innocently "oh, you mean that wasn't a joke? You were se-(heehee)-ree-(heeheehaahaha)-ous?? (BWAHAHAHAHHAAAHAAHAAHAA)

And then just walk away and keep laughing. Shuts them up, and makes you feel better.

11. The CIA took it serious enough
Edited on Thu Dec-15-05 04:33 PM by never cry wolf
to ask for the DOJ to investigate and the DOJ took it seriously enough for Ashcroft to recuse himself and appoint a special prosecutor.

This is the CIA, traditionally no friends to liberals, and a fully republican controlled DOJ here initiating and following through.

As for that publicity seeking mate, try this out:

Here are a couple of snips from the same article that Andrew Sullivan links to paint Joe Wilson as a “world class meshuggena.”

In 1990, while sheltering more than a hundred Americans at the U.S. Embassy and diplomatic residences, he (Wilson) briefed reporters while wearing a hangman's noose instead of a necktie -- a symbol of defiance after Hussein threatened to execute anyone who didn't turn over foreigners.

The message, Wilson said: "If you want to execute me, I'll bring my own < expletive > rope."

This toughness impressed President George H.W. Bush, who called Wilson a "truly inspiring" diplomat who exhibited "courageous leadership" by facing down Hussein and helping to gain freedom for the Americans before the 1991 war began.

>Snip<

Wilson may laugh now, but in the eyes of hostages, he was a hero. "He stuck his neck out in our behalf . . . He worked so hard to keep us from falling apart," recalled Roland O. Bergheer, 75, a Bechtel Corp. manager who was trapped in Baghdad.

A conservative who lives in Las Vegas, Bergheer added: "I love Joe Wilson. . . . I don't give a damn what his politics are."

sorry, I couldn't find the original

12. Tell him when he wants to act like an adult...
...and stop using jr. high insults like "libbers","hanging jockey shorts", and "pea brained mind", then open a dictionary, and learn how to spell and use proper grammar and punctuation, you may entertain the idea of having an actual debate. Until then, he is has shown you nothing but the ability to hurl baseless insults, and with no factual grounding.

But keep it up though. Bulletin board debates are not for mine or your benefit, they are for the countless lurking masses. The more he posts ignorant tripe like that, the more people that can actually read and comprehend entire sentences, will see how unfounded, and out of touch with reality the neo-con mind actually is.

Also if this is such a small thing then why is there a federal prosecutor and why does the WH clam up like a deer in the headlights.

Please this is pure BS and this kook knows it.

16. Ask it what Kerry and Murtha have to do with anything.
Then ask it why it needed to use Kerry and Murtha as a diversion. When it doesn't answer, tell it you just won the debate.

Then explain to it that intelligent people never do what it just did. We wouldn't think for a moment about justifying wrongs by pointing to real or perceived wrongs of others.

Explain to it that it is incapable of intelligent thought, and that it only repeats what other simpletons tell it to repeat. Tell it how easy it is to recognize simple people because they all use the same simple non-strategies.

17. Oh, of course not
>This Valerie Plame incident doesn't amount to nothing - and you know it.<

Oh, no, it's just an attempt to compromise our national security by outing a CIA agent that was currently working on determining where WMD's were, who had them, etcetera, in order to exact political paybacks from husband of said agent for his criticism of the current administration. Valerie Plame was a career CIA employee; it was a bit more than "a dream". As for her "publicity seeking mate," Ambassador Wilson worked on behalf of our government overseas as well.

Please direct the jackass to the following, and be sure and remind them that Patrick Fitzgerald is a Bush administration appointee...

19. the CIA wouldnt have asked for investigation if she wasnt in CIA
Why argue with these morons. This guy is in major denial. Ask them how Saddam was a threat? Quote them the IWR resolution and ask them how this was is justified?

Ask them why Hans Blix found no WMD. Ask them why David Kay found no WMD.

Ask them about Brewster Jennings. Ask them what that "company" did.

Ask them how you can start a war based on stopping WMD but then you completely destroy a CIA operation that had that very role.
